While it’s typically used to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face, it has increasingly found use in the treatment of TMJ pain and migraine headaches.
Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, also known as temporomandibular disorder (TMD), refers to a range of conditions that affect the joint of the jaw and surrounding muscles.
Jaw pain, stiffness, and reduced range of movement are the most common symptoms, but headaches, clicking or popping sounds, or earaches are also possible. In severe cases, the jaw may become locked shut.
